Job description

As a New Business Development Manager at MO Agency, you will play a critical role in expanding our client base and revenue pipeline. You’ll generate and qualify leads, engage with potential partners, and work closely with internal teams (strategy, delivery, leadership) to create and pitch tailored solutions.

You’ll represent our agency at events and in online channels—driving interest, building meaningful relationships, and ultimately funnelling new opportunities to our service delivery teams. This role is ideal for someone with a consultative sales mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for digital services in CRM, websites, integrations, and digital marketing.

We sell our services across South Africa, wider Africa, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East—serving mid-market to enterprise clients that are serious about aligning their systems, scaling their teams, and growing with modern technology.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Research and identify new business opportunities in target sectors and regions
  • Generate and nurture leads via outreach channels (email, LinkedIn, events, referrals)
  • Qualify opportunities through discovery conversations and problem assessment
  • Collaborate with Strategists, Developers, and Account Managers to craft tailored pitches and proposals
  • Present solutions and proposals to prospects and facilitate client communication
  • Manage CRM pipeline (HubSpot) and update activity, forecast stages, and progress
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue goals and KPIs
  • Attend industry/events for networking and brand awareness
  • Track competitor activity and market trends—share insights with leadership
  • Support marketing and content teams with messaging and thought leadership
  • Hand off qualified leads smoothly to delivery teams with clear briefs and context

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or agency growth roles
  • Experience selling digital services (CRM, web, integrations, digital marketing)
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative sales techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including pitch delivery
  • Comfortable managing a CRM pipeline (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Competitive, target-driven, and outcome-focused mindset
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple opportunities at once
  • Bonus: Experience selling HubSpot, CRM or SaaS products
