You can now retweet with comments

By Elize April 8, 2015 • 1 minutes to read

On Monday, Twitter decided to bless us all with a new feature that we were all waiting for patiently – retweet with comments.

This new feature allows you to share other people’s content AND add your own comment before posting it without wasting any characters.

How this new feature works:

  1. Click on ‘Retweet’
  2. Add your comment in the ‘Quote Tweet’ box
  3. Click on Tweet

Twitter new comment section

It is as easy as that! If you don’t want to add your own comment to the tweet, leave the comment section blank and click on Tweet.

If you add your own comment to the tweet, Twitter will insert the tweet into your post as a “card”, which will show a small version of it without wasting any of your 140 characters.

The feedback from Twitter users is very mixed at this stage. Some love it, some simply hate it. What are your thoughts?
